DUKE – omaggio a Ellington

This tribute to Duke Ellington’s music aptly illustrates the personality and talent of Fabrizio Bosso, backed by his quartet and the Paolo Silvestri ensemble. It’s natural for all the big musicians to feel obliged to measure themselves against the masters of the past, and their tribute is meant to pay off at least part of their debt to them.  Bosso, with his inimitable sound, is a major name on the Italian and international jazz scene and this event pays his dues to Duke Ellington, probably one of the most influential composers of the last century.
