The Romanic church Santa Maria or Chiesa Vecchia (Old Church), wonderfully decorated with frescos of the XVIth century, rises on the top of a slope facing the lake, and it is part of Belgirate old town centre, with its typical labyrinth of narrow paths and beautiful glimpses of gardens.

By car:
from Milan / Turin: with the motorway A26 direction Gravellona Toce - exit Arona, direction Stresa, following SS 33 all along the lake. you reach in few minutes Belgirate and then follow the festival traffic signs leading to the concert.

By train:
Belgirate railway station is on Milan - Domodossola/Geneva - Berne line, but just few trains stop there. Not far from Belgirate there is the main railway station of Arona, where you can find a taxi or a bus to reach Chiesa Vecchia in short time.

By plain:
The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, away 40 km from Arona. There is a network of frequent buses to connect the airport to Milan railway station.    

INFORMAZIONI

Ticket office opens one hour before the beginning of the concert. The church opens 30 minutes later.
The use of cameras, video cameras and recording equipment is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones and watch alarms should be turned off.
