The Basilica di San Giulio is one of the most outstanding sacred monuments of the Novara province, dating 12th century, overlooking the peaceful homonymous islet and Lake Orta. It is reached for the concert thanks to private boats organized on the occasion by the Festival, leaving Orta.

By car:
from Milan / Turin: with the motorway A26 direction Gravellona Toce - exit Arona, following the road direction Borgomanero and Gozzano. Then follow road markings for Orta.
from Domodossola / Simplon: by the SS 33 plus the motorway A26 direction Milan - exit Gravellona, continue direction Omegna then follow road markings for Orta.

By plane:
The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, away 45 km from Orta. You can there rent a car or find a taxi and continue towards Orta.

INFORMATION

Ticket office opens at the imbarcadero di Orta one hour before the beginning of the concert, the last boat leaves Orta 30 minutes later. The Basilica doors open for the audience when the first boat arrives.
Latecomers will not be admitted into the Basilica until there is a suitable break in the music.
The use of cameras, video cameras and recording equipment is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones and watch alarms should be turned off.

In the main Orta square you can find snack bars with open air tables.
In the streets starting from the square you can find restaurants and pizzerias.
