Villa San Remigio, built at the end of the XIXth century, sits atop the highest point of the Castagnola promontory and is set in beautiful garden. Wrapping around the northeast and southeast sides of the villa is a balcony from which incomparable views of the lake can be enjoyed.
The concert is open-air, in the Exedra: the musicians reach the pond and the surrounding statues walking along a gallery with portico carved out of rock.
Thanks to the co-operation with Garden & Book Festival the concert will be preceeded by a free guided tour of the park.

HOW TO REACH IT

By car:
from Milan / Turin: with the motorway A26 direction Gravellona Toce- exit Gravellona/Verbania direction Verbania. You drive towards the Swiss borderline along SS 34. Seven km after the motorway exit you turn righ, following the festival traffic signs.

By train:
Verbania railway station is on Milan - Domodossola/Geneva - Berne line. You can find a taxi or a bus just outside the station and you will reach Villa San Remigio in few minutes.

By plane:
The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, away 70 km from Verbania. There is a network of frequent buses to connect the airport to Milan railway station.

INFORMATION

Ticket office opens at Villa San Remigio one hour before the beginning of the concert. You can seat in the Exedra 30 minutes later.
Latecomers will not be admitted into the room until there is a suitable break in the music.
The use of cameras, video cameras and recording equipment is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones and watch alarms should be turned off.
