Si riunisce sabato 11 e domenica 12 giugno la giuria del 2° Concorso Internazionale di Composizione “Settimane Musicali di Stresa” 2005.
La Giuria Internazionale, presieduta da Azio Corghi e sotto la direzione artistica di Gianandrea Noseda, è formata dall'inglese Robin Holloway, dal finlandese Magnus Lindberg e dal polacco Zygmunt Krauze, a sostituire lo spagnolo Luis de Pablo, che ha dovuto rinunciare per problemi improvvisi di salute.
Le partiture, pervenute da tutto il mondo, sono 48: un grande successo per il Concorso che raddoppia il numero di partiture ricevute nella prima edizione.
Il tema del Concorso riguarda una composizione inedita per orchestra della durata tra gli 8 e i 12 minuti che verrà premiata con una borsa di studio. L'opera sarà inoltre eseguita, nell’ambito del Festival 2005, il 27 agosto al Palazzo dei Congressi di Stresa dall’Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai diretta da Vasily Petrenko e pubblicata da Rai Trade Edizioni Musicali. È prevista inoltre la ripresa radiofonica a cura di Rai RadioTre dell’intero concerto.
