The 2005 edition of the Settimane Musicali di Stresa e del Lago Maggiore presents several interesting proposals: the execution of Lucientes, by Paola Calderone, the winning score of the International Composition Competition "Settimane Musicali di Stresa" 2005, now at its second edition with an encouraging response of participation on behalf of all contestants; the performance in semi-staged version of Le nozze di Figaro with the Orchestra delle Settimane Musicali di Stresa reunited for the third year by Gianandrea Noseda; Les Noces of Strawinsky with the simultaneous projection of the work of the same name by Oskar Schlemmer, as well as the usual important concerts of symphonic and chamber music.

The stimulating results of the past edition, in terms of criticism and audience participation, reward the great effort of the public boards and private sponsors who sustain our Festival. To them and to all our public go our heartfelt thanks.
