Join the world's largest treasure hunt!
The Settimane Musicali di Stresa have partnered with the State Professional Institute “Giuseppe Ravizza” in Novara to work together on a project called “Geocaching In and Out of the Classroom – Minds on the Move”.
The project, financed by the European Union as part of the Erasmus plus program, involves educational institutions in seven countries: Italy, France, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain. Its aim is to inform and encourage students about Geocaching, a sort of treasure hunt using informatics tools, as a means to discover more about their surroundings. The various nationa
l teams will establish workshops for the students in their schools, trying them out, then testing them in trans-national visits. The team from the Ravizza Institute in Novara will go to the places where the Festival is holding concerts, and write up descriptions of the sites, so as to involve younger people in the Festival itself, using the means of communication they are most familiar with.
Starting on 1 July, the first participants in the project who find at least 1 of the caches tucked away at the Festival sites will each win two free tickets to a concert. These tickets will be handed out at the Festival ticket office to the person presenting a photo of the cache found.
