Read Mario Brunello\u2019s presentation.<\/h6>\n<< Let\u2019s imagine it an archipelago of sound, to sail around, navigating, discovering and encountering new islands in Lake Maggiore \u2013 islands of sound \u2013 of music!\nStresa Festival 2023<\/strong> is setting the rhythm of the summer to the sound of music, creating four islands of sound \u2013 one more fascinating and beautiful than the next \u2013 each with its own character, sketched out by the types of music and the great musicians who will play it.\nStresa Festival this year is outlining a new map of the territory, in which the islands of music jostle ambitiously to add to the beauties already offered by Stresa and Lago Maggiore.\nThe sites start with Stresa Festival Hall<\/strong> \u2013 which is what we want to call the big hall in the conference building, the Palazzo dei Congressi<\/em>, because it deserves it now, with its recent superbe acoustics and because it is the \u2018historic memory\u2019 of the Festival.\nThen there is La Catapulta<\/em><\/strong>, designed by the architect Michele De Lucchi, our \u2018portable\u2019 outdoor concert hall known throughout the world already. Moving on over the islands, we sense the mystic aura of the incredible Eremo di Santa Caterina del Sasso, perched on the cliff.\nIn Verbania there is the fine 15th century church of Madonna di Campagna, San Leonardo and the Museo del Paesaggio<\/em> (landscape museum).\u00a0 We get a breath of contemporary air in the logistics hall of Herno, the main sponsor of the Stresa Festival.\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

#Stresafestivaljazz<\/em><\/strong>, a luglio, \u00e8 la prima isola dove potremo ascoltare due grandi star internazionali quali Arturo Sandoval<\/strong><\/a> e Nicola Piovani<\/strong><\/a>. Protagonisti dei successivi appuntamenti saranno giovani musicisti internazionali tra i<\/p>

#stresafestivaljazz<\/em><\/strong> in July is the first \u2018island of sound\u2019, where we shall meet two major international stars and their vision of music, Arturo Sandoval<\/strong><\/a> and Nicola Piovani<\/strong><\/a>, followed by three appointments with young musicians, Matteo Mancuso<\/strong><\/a>, Accent<\/strong><\/a> and , who are leaving a deep and innovative mark on jazz \u2013 and elsewhere.
HalliGalli Quartet<\/strong><\/a>.
Rigoletto<\/em><\/a> on the Isola Bella promises to be a unique experience. In this chamber version of Verdi\u2019s opera the public will be close to the action, to the music and song, and the natural scenography of the Lake.<\/p>

#stresafestivalyoung<\/em><\/strong> is a newborn island \u2013 a young one for young people, their music and their passions, and their desire to take part in yesterday\u2019s and today\u2019s music. The\u00a0Missa dux Ferrarie <\/em><\/a> by the 16th century Josquin Desprez will be sung in the church of Madonna di Campagna by young local singers and musicians: five hundred years of music and history, all in the hands of young musicians who will no doubt be tempted to introduce some electronic sound by\u00a0Teho Teardo<\/strong><\/a> just to show they are on the banks of the Lake, where their future lies.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Sempre a luglio gli ottoni del Billi Brass Quintet<\/strong> saranno ospitati all\u2019isola Pescatori mentre un\u2019esperienza unica e preziosa sar\u00e0 il Rigoletto<\/em><\/a>, ovvero l\u2019opera di Verdi in una versione da camera all\u2019aperto, ideata dal regista Gianmaria Aliverta, con il pubblico che potr\u00e0 seguire la vicenda entrando nel vivo della storia, a tu per tu con la musica, il canto e un’originale scenografia.<\/p>

#Stresafestivalyoung <\/em><\/strong>\u00e8 un\u2019isola appena nata, abitata da giovani per i giovani del territorio, dalla loro musica, le loro passioni e la voglia di essere presenti nella musica di ieri e di oggi. E sono stati proprio loro a proporre per il Festival la Missa dux Ferrarie <\/em><\/a>del rinascimentale Josquin Desprez che sar\u00e0 interpretata da giovani cantori e strumentisti nella chiesa di Madonna di Campagna: cinquecento anni di musica e di storia, tutta in mano ai giovani.
Dal passato si fa un salto al futuro perch\u00e9 tra le proposte di #Stresafestivalyoung<\/em> c\u2019\u00e8 anche la musica elettronica di Teho Teardo<\/strong><\/a>, per una performance in riva al lago dedicata ai giovani e a tutti quelli che vogliono sperimentare.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

#stresafestivalclassic<\/em><\/strong>: this is the musical island with the widest repertory \u2013 classic, romantic, modern. At its heart lies a cycle of chamber works among Schubert\u2019s best-known and original output. the Grand Duo<\/em><\/a>, the Ottetto<\/em><\/a>, and Arpeggione<\/em><\/a>.
This evening\u2019s exceptional players, Al\u00ebna Baeva, Dmitry Ablogin<\/strong>, Sergey Malov<\/strong>, Fl\u00f3ra F\u00e1bri<\/strong>, Royal Concertgebouw<\/strong> use unusual instruments like the violoncello da spalla<\/em> \u2013 played at the shoulder, and the fortepiano.
This great instrumental repertory includes Prokofiev\u2019s Romeo e Giulietta<\/a><\/em> in a rare chamber version with a harp, and Bach\u2019s Well-tempered Klavier<\/a>, followed by Beethoven\u2019s moving Quartetto op. 132<\/em>. Then there are excited \u201cprogressive\u201d improvisations on a violin and cello with Matthias<\/strong> Bartolomey <\/strong>and Klemens Bittmann<\/strong><\/a> and a virtuoso performance by an outstanding young trumpeter, Lucienne Renaudin Vary<\/strong> with Felicien Brut<\/strong><\/a> on the accordion.
We shall hear the trumpet again at dawn as the sun rises over the Lake, seen from the Sass Dal Pizz<\/em>, the most striking panorama in one of the Festival Albums<\/em>.<\/p>

The Albums<\/em> illustrate the special moments when the Festival artistes give their public special attention; there may be a glass of wine, a walk, a chat in the gardens of Villa Taranto or other surprising places.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
