The evening’s concert has a time range that spans from the early Baroque to the Twentieth century, and includes a commemoration of Alessandro Scarlatti and Luciano Berio’s anniversaries.
This musical journey involves the interpretation of compositions for voice and instrumental accompaniment by soprano Lucia Cortese, Andrea Rognoni on violin and viola,  Mauro Valli on cello, and Riccardo Doni on harpsichord. The authors’ability in rendering the peculiarities of the selected works by few musicians, where the voice is the protagonist of expressive tension, is clear in the layout of the programme. There are also two instrumental pieces, for violin and cello, which give the measure of the talent of the performers. Haydn and Berio’s elaborations of folk melodies, which were executed with great originality, have been particularly interesting and have allowed Berio’s Folk Songs to take on a more substantial form. Several young and talented musicians were also invited along with the quartet.
