W. GUNN, What would Circe do?
“Half of my voice is human. The other half speaks like moss and lichens and intones the forgotten songs of birds.”
A concert program in which it is not only the human being who takes the floor. Birds speak, as do ice and water; the four seasons seem to compete with one another. And Circe—the Greek enchantress with a human voice—is consulted: through which language can the essential find its way back to our silenced hearts? Sjaella opens a sonic space where ancient and contemporary music meet and take shape through voices and bodies.
