Valerio Lisci, Kevin Spagnolo and Aurélien Pascal bring to life a new chamber trio, an original ensemble that brings together harp, clarinet, and cello in a unique sonic dialogue. The project stems from the desire to explore new timbres and colors, making the most of the expressive potential of three instruments that are as different as they are complementary. The repertoire ranges across major works of late European Romanticism, with new transcriptions curated by Valerio Lisci that highlight the lyrical depth and orchestral richness of composers such as Debussy, Rachmaninov, Fauré, and Strauss. From the dreamlike atmospheres of Première Rhapsodie and Une Chatelaine en sa tour to the virtuosic complexity of the Dance of the Seven Veils, the trio explores new timbral possibilities, combining technique, expressiveness, and an innovative approach to sound. The concert will take place in the hall of Villa Ponti in Arona, a prestigious venue ideally suited for chamber music, which in recent years has once again been included in the Festival’s program.
